CITING DECLINING ENROLLMENT, THE DIOCESE HAS DECIDED TO CLOSE HOLIDAY REDEEMER SCHOOL IN ELLWOOD CITY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR. HOLY REDEEMER SCHOOL HAS 42 STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE…AND ANOTHER 13 STUDENTS IN PRE-KINDERGARTEN FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR. THE DIOCESE HAS PROMISED TO ASSIST HOLY REDEEMER PARISH PARENTS CONTINUE THEIR CHILDREN’S CATHOLIC EDUCATION…AT SAINT GREGORY SCHOOL IN ZELIENOPLE…AND SAINT MONICA CATHOLIC ACADEMY IN BEAVER FALLS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE ABOUT 10 MILES FROM ELLWOOD CITY.
