After a 3 and 3 home stand the Pirates hit the road for a make-up game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Thursday afternoon. The Game was a make-up from the game that was rained out  last Thursday in Boston. The Pirates led most the game before the bottom fell out in the eighth inning  and the Pirates lost 4 to 3 dropping their fourth straight decision. The Pirates are now 3 and 7 on the new year.
