(Beaver County, PA) A new texting service has been launched by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. If customers of the Pennsylvania Turnpike text the word “info” to 47676, they will receive updates for roadways, incident information and times to leave after stopping. According to a news release from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, automated updates occur every fifteen to twenty minutes. Customers can message “info” to 47676 a second time to reactivate for a new incident. The service is not used for commuter traffic every day or delays related to construction and it will be another service to use with the 511 and *11 tools.
