(Pittsburgh, PA) An outdoor naloxone vending machine has now been installed along Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Allegheny County Health Department stated on Wednesday that the machine, which is located outside the Allegheny County Human Services Building, will assist in expanding around-the-clock access to naloxone, a free, life-saving medication. That health department also stated that this machine is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it is one of several that have been installed throughout Allegheny County through grant money made available by the CDC.
