One Ballot Measure Up for a Vote Today May Not Be Counted

One ballot measure up for a vote in Pennsylvania today may not be counted. A state commonwealth court judge reportedly issued an injunction last week that delays the Marsy’s Law vote until a League of Women’s Voters lawsuit is settled. The group claims the referendum proposes multiple amendments to the state constitution which violates the separate vote requirement. The ballot measure proposes giving victims of crimes co-equal rights to the accused, such as if the suspect is released or escapes.
