(Pittsburgh, PA) One Pittsburgh bakery expects today to be one of their busiest days of the year as they roll out both pączki and other treats by the dozen themed around Mardi Gras. Today is an annual day known as Fat Tuesday, which is the day before those who practice the Catholic season of Lent can get their food in before fasting tomorrow on Ash Wednesday and the Fridays during Lent. Paddy Cake Bakery, which is located in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, sells pączki, a classic Polish baked good that is similar to a donut, as well as other items that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
