(Pittsburgh, PA) A simpler way to provide food to those who need it has been approved by the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Their new locker program, which has forty lockers at the Center of Hope in Ambridge, contain QR codes to scan and then receive both shelf stable and frozen food. Sue Otto, the Center of Hope’s director comments that most of the food is given from the food bank. This new program is used by 20% of the families cared for by the Center of Hope and the food goes to a good cause to the families that need it the most.
