POLICE HAVE RELEASED THE NAME OF THE TEENAGE DRIVER KILLED THIS MORNING IN A FIERY HEAD-ON CRASH ON ROUTE 65 IN NORTH SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP. THE CRASH INVOLVING A CAR AND AN S-U-V WAS REPORTED SHORTLY BEFORE 7:00 THIS MORNING. AUTHORITIES SAY 19-YEAR-OLD ISAIAH HUNTER OF NEW BRIGHTON WAS DRIVING THE CAR, AND IT APPEARED THAT HE CROSSED THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, COLLIDING HEAD-ON WITH THE S-U-V. THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE AND OTHER DRIVERS PULLED THE MAN OUT IN AN ATTEMPT TO SAVE HIM, BUT HE DIED. INVESTIGATORS SAY HUNTER WAS ON HIS WAY TO WORK AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. A WOMAN WHO WAS DRIVING THE S-U-V WAS TAKEN TO HERMITAGE BEAVER VALLEY WITH BACK PAIN, WHERE SHE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED. NO ONE ELSE WAS IN EITHER VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THE CRASH. OFFICIALS SAY A MAN WHO TRIED TO SAVE THE DRIVER WHO DIED WAS TREATED AT THE SCENE FOR SMOKE INHALATION. POLICE SAY ROAD CONDITIONS WERE NOT A FACTOR IN THE CRASH.
