(New Brighton, PA) According to a recent release from the Borough of New Brighton, the New Brighton Historical Society’s luminary fundraiser can help you honor a loved one by customizing a luminary, which will be lit up on Saturday, December 7th outside of the First Presbyterian Church on Third Avenue. The New Brighton Public Library and the New Brighton Borough Municipal Building are several locations where luminaries can be bought for a price of $5, or you can visit www.nbhistory.org. December 2nd is the due date when the orders must be placed. You can choose someone to make the luminary special, or you can make it yourself, however, if a New Brighton Historical Society decorator is assigned, you must provide them either a name or names of the people that you are honoring. The release also notes that proceeds will accomplish three purposes: to directly support the New Brighton Historical Society’s efforts in restoring the Irish-Townsend House, host educational programs, and share the rich history of our community.
