New Brighton Fire Under Investigation

(New Brighton, Pa.) Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Curtis Walsh is reporting that a fire broke out in the 500 block of 7th Avenue in New Brighton yesterday afternoon. Witnesses at the scene told Walsh that they saw the fire start in the rear of the house and saw at least one person run out of the residence. Numerous emergency responders from around the county responded to fight the blaze. Flames could be seen escaping the top floor of the house and heavy smoke filled the area. Beaver County 9-1-1 reported that New Brighton firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 3:30 p.m. according Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano who spoke with New Brighton Fire Chief Eric Book who told her that crews remained on the scene of the the fire until 7:15 PM.
Chief bock told Giordano that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
