(Allegheny County, PA) Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus announced yesterday that thirty-nine-year-old Johnny Foster of Mt. Oliver, who is facing several burglary related probation violations, has been taken into custody on those bench warrants and is now facing new theft charges. Foster was a fugitive for the past two months after bench warrants were issued for probation violations on three separate cases involving a guilty plea to a burglary charge and a fourth case involving a guilty plea to receiving stolen property. Foster was also named a suspect and was subsequently charged in two retail theft cases in February. The first one was at Dick’s Sporting Goods in South Hills Village, where he tried to steal over $800 worth of merchandise and the second one was at Kohl’s in Ross Township where he stole over $500 worth of goods. Detectives from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s office developed information this week that Foster was inside of a residence along Rustic Avenue and arrived at the location at 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning. Detectives were able to confirm that Foster was inside once they were on scene and after gaining entry, they located him hiding underneath a table. Foster was arrested without further incident and he was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
