(Monaca, PA) According to a release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, a contract of nearly $770 million was given to build a lock chamber at the Montgomery Locks and Dam in Monaca. The release states that the height and width of the chamber will be 110 feet by 600 feet and that the Trumbull-Brayman Construction Corporation, Joint Venture of Pittsburgh received this contract by the district. The Upper Ohio Navigation Project will help to install chambers in the Monaca Montgomery Locks and Dam as well as the others in Moon Township and in Emsworth, along with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers receiving over a billion dollars thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
