(Pittsburgh, PA) The Monongahela Incline in Pittsburgh will remain closed through this week as Pittsburgh Regional Transit will prepare a report for two state oversight agencies and coordinate both inspections and plans for its reopening. The incline closed on November 1st, 2025, which is when twenty-seven passengers inside of it saw both cars unexpectedly stop during a trip because of a motor controller failure. The trapped passengers have since been rescued after this incident occurred.
