A special honor over the weekend for a group of veterans that provides military honors for other vets of Beaver County. Carl Hughes is part of the Beaver County Special Unit. He tells Beaver County Radio that they are a 14-member group that provides a 10-minute ceremony that consists of an eulogy, a rifle salute and Taps. He says they try to do this for every honorably discharged veteran in Beaver County when they are called by the funeral directors. Over the weekend, the group provided military honors for Adam Stone. He’s the gentleman at the Shell Cracker Plant, whose remains from 1812 were recently unearthed. The Beaver County Special Unit re-inturred him Saturday at Beaver, with the rest of his family they found.
