(Pittsburgh, PA) Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Revetti announced Tuesday that a resident of McKees Rocks pleaded guilty to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. Thirty-five-year-old Ryan Peters also pleaded guilty that he had material that involved the sexual abuse of a child. Peters also wanted to engage in sexual activity with a minor from Pittsburgh. According to Revetti, Peters is still detained, he will be sentenced on November 12th, 2025 and he could face a maximum of not less than 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both, provided by the law.
