Mandatory Masking Remains in Place in Hopewell School District

(Hopewell Twp.,  Pa.) Superintendent Dr. Robert Kartychak , at Monday night’s meeting said mandatory masking remains in place in the district.  He said there are 17 positive cases that includes students and staff. He added “We’re trying to do our best  for our  students and staff.” Board President Dave Bufalini was in agreement with the superintendent . Dr. Kartychak added,” If you don’t feel  well, stay home.

Some good news was revealed for residents.  The board announced  that the district won’t raise  the tax rate   of the public schools  by more than its index.
 for the next fiscal year 2023 it will be 4.5%
The board hired 2 new bus drivers, a substitute nurse. Nancy Barber , School Board secretary  was reappointed for the period from 7/1/2021  through June 30, 2025 at an annual salary of $2,500.
\The board’s next meeting is January 25, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium
