(Pittsburgh, PA) A man is dead and a woman was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out inside of a home in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood of Pittsburgh this morning. It was reported on the 6600 block of Apple Street a little before 2:30 a.m. Responding firefighters found the man in a second-floor bedroom and took him out of a window and down a ladder. He later died at the scene. A woman, who was described as the man’s wife by a battalion chief, was taken to the hospital. Fire investigators are now working to determine the cause of this fire.
