(Pittsburgh, Pa.) 21 -year-old Jaylone Hines has been charged by authorities with criminal homicide in in connection with a North Side Pittsburgh shooting on October 15, 2022 that killed three people.
Authorities say that Hines is responsible for the deaths of 33-year-old Jacquelyn Mehalic, and 59- year-old Betty Averytt who were innocent bystanders. The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Cedar Avenue as they waited for a bus.
Authorities say that John Hornezes who also killed that night was one of the shooters in the incident.
Hines who was shot in the leg during the incident is also charged with aggravated assault, attempted homicide, conspiracy and person not to possess firearm.
He is in the Allegheny County Jail after bail was denied.
