(Mobile, AL) A local teenager is in the top eight finalists in the Distinguished Young Women in America national competition. Aubrey Bowman competed on Saturday and was a preliminary award winner of this competition in Mobile, Alabama at the Saenger Theatre. Bowman has won more than $10,000 in scholarships and is eligible for many others, including some full offers in tuition. Bowman also won honors in the state of Pennsylvania as the representative of the state from the Distinguished Young Women of Pennsylvania and also won the Distinguished Young Woman of Beaver County.
