Attorney General Kathleen Kane says she’s hoping for a 5 percent budget increase for her office after she appeared before a panel of state senators, including many who had sought unsuccessfully to remove her from office. Questions focused on law enforcement matters during the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing yesterday. Neither Kane nor state senators mentioned the vote two weeks ago on whether to oust her.
