After taking the first Wednesday of the New Year off, the Commissioners returned to the meeting room for the first time in 2019 to a variety of issues.
Tim Ishman, head of Beaver County’s Parks & Recreation Department, spoke about a few key issues of note, one of them being the update on the Beaver County Ice Arena and its possible grant from the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation:
Ishman also talked about the possible need for more trained lifeguards for the local pools in Beaver County, as several have left for school or internship possibilities. This led to Commissioner Chairman Dan Camp speaking of the possibility of perhaps beginning a County-funded program for those seeking lifeguard certification to obtain it; an idea that Ishman considered as his report time ended.
Camp also spoke about several different issues, including one that answers questions from those who were wondering (and possibly skeptical) about where Allegheny County-based Congressman Conor Lamb would have an office:
Exact locations of the Lamb offices were not disclosed.
The Commissioners will hold a public meeting tomorrow at 10 AM at the courthouse.
