(Hopewell Township, PA) – Hopewell Township Commissioners on Monday night approved a motion to apply for a Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for $226,463 for culvert replacement at the community park.

The funding once approved will come from the Commonwealth Financing Authority, according to Commissioners Chairman Rich Bufalini.
The commissioners will also apply for a grant to be used for the playground on Woodlawn Park Bufalini said the playground equipment is old and needs replaced, and repairs need to be done on the site. He added that new homeowners have moved to the area and have children and it would be beneficial for the families to have a safe place for the children to play.
The commissioners hired hired Brittain Geddes as a part time police officer. He begins his duties on Thursday, July 1, 2021.
