(Pittsburgh, PA) A deal was approved on Thursday by the Federal Trade Commission in which Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. will acquire GetGo. The Canadian company which is already the owner of several gas station brands made an agreement for the gas station brand owned by Giant Eagle. According to Giant Eagle spokesperson Jannah Drexler, the transaction between Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. and GetGo is expected to close in the coming days and the MyPerks program will continue at both Giant Eagle and GetGo once the sale goes through.
