(Story by Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Curtis Walsh)
If you were driving through the area of 16th street and 5th Avenue in New Brighton around 7:30 this morning, chances are you had to dodge flying metal. Sheet metal being stored outdoors went loose from a building and became a threat to those in the area. 3 people were struck trying to move pieces of the metal and one mans’ car was hit while he was driving through. No injuries occurred. One sheet of metal that was approximately 25 feet long made it to the next block. Borough, police, and citizens help move the metal into the building when it was unlocked around 25 minutes later and the area is now open and clear.
