(Chippewa Township, PA) The Chippewa Township Board of Supervisors met Wednesday night for a meeting.  The board approved the purchase of a 2022 Chevy Silverado 3500 pickup for the street department due to the aging of current department vehicles.  Also approved was a storm drain repair project.  The repair will take place at the intersection of Woodland Road and Constitution Boulevard.  Members of the fire department were in attendance to question funding that the fire department receives from the township.  The department would like to see more funding, and suggested a one mill tax increase as a possible solution. Members of the board said that they will need to receive more detailed financial statements before they can make any decisions.  It was stated that the fire department has failed to provide statements on money they have made with fundraising and community support in recent years, only reporting their expenses. A member of the fire department responded by saying that the township shouldn’t need to know how much they make.
