(Pittsburgh, PA) Pittsburgh native and NFL football player Damar Hamlin sent a public service announcement about the initiative known as the Nation of Lifesavers through the American Heart Association. Hamlin noted that both CPR and automated external defibrillators are why he is still alive and they can become a “superpower” to save someone’s life. Hamlin survived a cardiac arrest in 2023 that happened during an NFL football game.
