Coyote Sightings Reported in Potter Township

An alert Potter Township resident contacted the PA GAME COMMISSION’S SOUTHWEST REGIONAL OFFICE  earlier this week after  some residents sighted young coyotes near their homes. Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano reports that the areas where they were sighted are Mowry and Fishpot Roads. Matt Kramer, game commissioner, said that the coyotes are on their own for the first time. The area where the sightings occurred  in the early evening are wooded, and residents are advised not to leave trash out side, and to safeguard their pets by bringing them indoors or  kept on a leash. Rebecca Matsco, township supervisor;s chairman,  said that the coyotes being present isn’t something the  township can regulate act on.
