Christmas Parade & more discussed at Beaver Falls City Council meeting

(Beaver Falls, Pa) The Beaver Falls City Council met Tuesday evening at 7pm for thier first meeting of November. Council approved a list of General Fund & Payroll expenditures in the amount of $567,409.37.

Council also approved the reappointment of Marybeth Quinn to the planning commission.

A repository purchase of an empty lot at 827 2nd Avenue was approved for Marigold Captital Group LLC.

During citizens comment, one resident relayed to Council that he has been working to remove trash from walking trails in town. He asked Council where he could dispose of large items such as sinks and tvs. In response, the Public Works Department said they will pick the items up from the head of the trails and dispose of them if you call and let them know. Mayor Dr. Kenya Johns also responded to remind residents that the trails are not to be used for dumping and violators will be prosecuted.

It was also announced during the meeting that the annual Beaver Falls Christmas Parade will take place on November 30th. Anybody interested in having their organization be part of the parade should contact the city for more details.
