A Chippewa Township man is facing charges from two separate arrests on the same night earlier this month. Kristian Johnson is accused of drunken driving and spitting on a state trooper in South Beaver Township on May 4th. Just a few hours later, a South Beaver Township police officer was taking the 21-year-old home when Johnson slammed the door of the cruiser on the officer’s chest and right hand. Johnson’s preliminary hearing on the drunken driving charges is set for June 6th. That comes after a hearing Thursday on the assault charges.
