(Center Twp., Beaver County, Pa.) The Center Twp Police Department announced on their Facebook page Monday, February 21, 2022, that they are mourning the loss of retired K9 “Ingo”.
The post went on to say that:  “Ingo” was the first K9 in the history of the Center Twp Police Department. In 2010 the police department received an $8000.00 grant from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation to help start the department’s first K9 program. Sgt. Cindric was anxious to get the program underway and his new partner “Ingo” was established in May of 2011. “Ingo” was at Sgt. Cindric’s side for 8 years seizing illegal drugs and aiding in the apprehension of many suspects. “Ingo” was responsible for the seizure of hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal drugs, not to mention the professional handling of “Ingo” by Sgt. Cindric. They were a team that created a bond that will last forever.
“Ingo” made appearances in our schools and many programs throughout Center Twp where he would walk among the crowd wagging his tail as people petted him. “Ingo” was clearly known to all in Center Twp. In “Ingo’s” retirement, he was able to spend time with the new Center Twp K9 “Dani” at Sgt. Cindric’s home.

We at Beaver County Radio send our condolences out to the Center Twp. Police Department.
