Center Twp. Supervisors met last night and the discussion was all about roads. Resident Jeff Todd of Shirley Dr. in Sylvan Crest told the supervisors that the road hasn’t been paved in years. The supervisors assured Todd that they would look at the road to see what needs to be done. According to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano, a storm drain on Roosevelt Drive also is causing some concerns, and the supervisors will look at that situation today
Supervisor Richard George said that the road crew is pothole patching daily in the township. Bids for road repairs will be opened on April 29, and will be awarded at the May 2 meeting.
In other business, doors will be replaced in the township building and fire hall in about three weeks.
B.F. Jones memorial Librarian Linda Helms thanked the supervisors for their support during the state’s budget impasse that left the library, schools and others dependent on state funding, scrambling for funds.
