ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Income inequality is growing in the United States. Census Bureau figures show the gap between the haves and the have-nots grew last year to its highest level in more than 50 years of tracking. University of Florida economist Hector Sandoval says even though household income increased, it has been distributed unevenly, with the wealthiest helped possibly by a tax cut passed by Congress in 2017.
