The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh is providing some guidance on how special events in the church will be handled amid the coronavirus spread. In a statement, Bishop David Zubik said baptisms will happen as small private family events to meet state and locally imposed crowd distance restrictions. Confirmation events set for March have been postponed while those scheduled for after April 1st will be determined in the future. Weddings and funerals will also occur, though those attending must number at or lower than the imposed crowd restrictions.
