The Pittsburgh Pirates announced to that they have picked up the club option on the final year of Andrew Mc Cutchen’s contract. Cutch will make around 14.5 million next year. This doesn’t mean the Pirates are not going to trade him over the winter it just insures the Pirates will get something in return if they do trade him. The Pirates also declined to pick up the club option for Chris Stewart and Wade LeBlanc making them both free agents.
