Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), nurse aides, and dietary employees at Brighton Rehab and Wellness in Beaver have cancelled the informational picket that was scheduled today at their facility.  The action, planned as a response to management’s staffing practices that rely heavily on agency nursing staff, was called off when management indicated a willingness to work collaboratively with employees to resolve these issues. An S.E.I.U spoeksman tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that another picket or action may be scheduled if the employees’ concerns – around quality care for residents and fair treatment for employees – are not addressed.
