Bill Would Prohibit Anyone Under 18 From Getting Married In PA

A bill that prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from getting married in PA is moving on to the state House for a full vote.  The House Judiciary Committee unanimously passed the measure this week.  PA is one of 27 states that don’t currently have a minimum age for children to get married.  Officials add they are unsure how many under-18 marriages happened in the commonwealth because PA doesn’t keep those records.
