Beaver County Back To Court To Fight Reassessment Ruling

At Wednesday’s regular work session, Beaver County Commissioners were reminded by solicitor Garen Fedeles that he is going to court in Pittsburgh on Tuesday (October 16) to give oral arguments in the county’s appeal of property reassessment. Fedeles says no ruling will be given Tuesday and he expects a decision to be handed down by the end of the year. The county lost it’s battle to developer Chuck Betters and was ordered to reassess all property in the county by June 2020.

Commissioners also agreed to make necessary arrangments to extend their electric supplier contract with Premier Power Solutions. The current rate is locked in thru May of 2020 and the extension would set a new rate until the end of 2021 that, according to Fedles, could save the county upwards of 45 thousand dollars.
