BCTA Eliminating Bus Stop Throughout The County

THE BEAVER COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY IS IN THE PROCESS OF ELIMINATING SOME BUS STOPS ON SOME OF ITS ROUTES. BCTA GENERAL MANAGER MARY JO MORANDINI TELLS BEAVER COUNTY RADIO NEWSMAN PAT SEPTAK THAT THE REASON FOR THE CHANGES IS TO CUT DOWN ON TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON THE COUNTY’S ROADWAYS. SHE SAYS THEY’RE ALREADY STARTED IN BEAVER FALLS AND NEXT ON THE LIST IS ALONG 3RD AVENUE IN NEW BRIGHTON….

STARTING ON MONDAY, JULY 17TH, BCTA WILL ELIMINATE STOPS ALONG 3RD AVENUE AT  8TH STREET SOUTHBOUND AND 15TH STREET NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND…STILL LEAVING STOPS AT 6TH, 9TH, 10TH, 12TH AND 16TH STREETS IN PLACE. EVENTUALLY, SHE SAYS CHANGES WILL BE MADE COUNTYWIDE.
