(Atlanta, GA) According to an announcement from Herschend on Tuesday, the company officially acquired Kennywood, Sandcastle as well as Idlewild and SoakZone. The deal means Herschend gets the theme parks and water parks in the United States from Palace Entertainment, which includes those parks. The first time those parks were announced to be sold was in March. Herschend is based in Atlanta and also owns the Harlem Globetrotters and parks like Dollywood.
