(Monaca, PA) United States Army veteran and Dancing with the Stars alum Noah Galloway will speak at Penn State Beaver in Monaca on Wednesday, March 18th at 7 p.m. at the Penn State Beaver auditorium. The free event will feature Galloway talking about leadership, personal accountability and resilience. Galloway became a double amputee in 2005 after an IED attack during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and he lost his left leg above the knee and his left arm above the elbow. He focused on fitness becoming the first veteran and amputee to be featured on the cover of Men’s Health magazine following his injuries. He was a finalist on Season 20 of the ABC show Dancing with the Stars and won the debut season of FOX’s American Grit. Galloway also established the No Excuses Charitable Fund, which raises money and awareness for organizations that support causes that are important to him. This event is made possible by the Greenberger Family Memorial Lecture Fund that was established in 1997 in memory of Paul Greenberger, who was a student at Penn State Shenango. The purpose of the fund is to support lectures by outstanding individuals in all fields to present information at the Penn State Shenango campus. The family of Greenberger is pleased that the Fund can support Galloway’s visits to both the Penn State Shenango and Penn State Beaver campuses.
