Another school district in Beaver County has confirmed a case of whooping cough. The Riverside School District said in a letter to parents that a student at the K-Center was diagnosed with whooping cough, also known as pertussis. The letter advises anyone who is sick with a bad cough to see a doctor. Pertussis is treated with antibiotics. Last month, the Beaver Area School District alerted parents about two cases of whooping cough at College Square and Dutch Ridge elementary schools.
