(Pittsburgh, PA) An annual Lunar New Year parade in Pittsburgh has now been canceled amid concerns that ICE agents may target parade attendees. According to Maria Cohen, the executive director of the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, her organization, alongside the Pittsburgh chapter of the OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates, made the decision as ICE officers have ramped up actions throughout the country. It also comes after two men were recently detained by immigration enforcement officers in Pittsburgh.
