American Economist Says Trump Trying Not to Get Booed in Switzerland

DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) — American economist Kenneth Rogoff noted that President Donald Trump largely avoided talking about his administration’s approach to climate change in his speech at the World Economic Forum because it was a sensitive topic. Rogoff said “he would have been booed if he said anything much about this. Rogoff said Trump “was being very careful not to get booed.” Rogoff also said some of Trump’s statements regarding the strength of the U.S. economy were true. He said the economy had largely done better than expected.
