(Ambridge, PA) Police are now investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of a man and a woman inside a home in Ambridge early yesterday morning. Police responded to the area of Locust Street just before 3 a.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived and began investigating, they found thirty-eight-year-old Ashley Anne Delucca of Ambridge and fifty-four-year-old Andre Littles of Pittsburgh dead from multiple gunshot wounds. According to a release from Ambridge Police Chief John DeLuca, officers identified the suspect as thirty-nine-year-old Howard James Thomas Jr. of Ambridge and issued a BOLO on him and his vehicle to outside agencies. Chief Deluca confirms that Thomas is now in custody on an arrest warrant for two counts of homicide and at around 8:37 a.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol informed Ambridge police that he had been apprehended after a crash in Zanesville, Ohio. Following the incident, Ambridge Mayor Tina Iorfido-Schmidt issued a post on Facebook, sharing her condolences to the family of the victims, while also telling the community that there is no active threat.
