Ambridge Intersections see changes

Two traffic lights along Merchant Street in Ambridge have been temporarily converted to stop signs for the next two months while officials study the intersections. An analysis indicates that the intersections may not meet the demand for traffic signals, borough Manager Joe Kauer said.

Workers converted the signals to flash on Thursday and then installed stop signs and road markings at the intersections of Third Street and Merchant and Sixth Street and Merchant.

Please be cautious at those intersections as you acclimate to the change.
