(Beaver County, PA) According to a release today from Highmark Health, Allegheny Health Network has launched a new Paramedic Response Unit in support of independent EMS agencies in Beaver County. This Paramedic Response Unit will help out agencies that are local in providing emergency medical care that is enhanced to the residents of the Beaver County region and it is called the AHN PRU Medic 957. Allegheny Health Network paramedics who are both capable of providing advanced life support and Pennsylvania Department of Health-certified and will be the staff heading this Paramedic Response Unit. New Sewickley Fire District in Beaver County is where the AHN PRU Medic 957 will be stationed. The staff of the AHN PRU Medic 957 will collaboratively work with the community-based agencies of the Beaver County region to ensure a response that is effectve to the needs of patients, particularly those in mass casualty situations or those that require additional care. The AHN PRU Medic 957 is the eighth Paramedic Response Unit of Allegheny Health Network, with the first one mobilized in the Allegheny Valley region in 1988.
