Alleged Bank Robber Causes Multi-Vehicle Parkway West Accident After Robbing Chippewa Twp Bank

A suspected bank robber caused a multi-vehicle crash on the Parkway West Thursday afternoon that sent a state police trooper to the hospital. State police were told to be on the lookout for a tan pickup truck with black decals on the side that was allegedly involved in a Huntington Bank robbery in Chippewa Township. A trooper noticed the truck around 2:30 p.m. He attempted to make a traffic stop, but the suspect – 46-year-old Josh Kehren – fled eastbound on the Parkway West and led police on a chase. Police say Kehren eventually struck the rear of the trooper in front of him. Authorities say the trooper will be okay. Four state police vehicles were damaged. Kehren is charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and fleeing and eluding.
