Aliquippa City Council Recognizes Red Ribbon Week

(Aliquippa, Pa.) Drug Free Aliquippa representative Kaitlyn Tempalski and 10th grader Yare Carter were introduced at the Aliquippa City Council meeting in Wednesday night. The pair was presented with proclamations from Mayor Dwan B. Walker  for their work , not just for Red Ribbon Week, but for their service to the DRUG FREE ALIQUIPPA  program. Red Ribbon Week   was from October 23-31, and the program stresses awareness and drug prevention

Alex Santia and Elverna (Barbee) Cuffie were sworn for new terms on the city’s Civil Service commission.
Councilman Art Piroli, Jr. . reported that 23 new LED lights have been installed, and some new poles will be installed downtown up to the city building.

Councilman Donald Walker  announced that on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2 p.m. the Eleanor Redd Playground at the Third Avenue Park on the site of the former Jones School will be dedicated . Miss Redd worked all of her life with children, which included her career with Head Start.
