Aliquippa City Council: It’s All About The Police

Aliquippa City Council, at last night’s work session,  approved the retirement of Officer Dale Nicholson. His last day will be July 29. He has served the city for more than 25 years. Johnnie Schooley was promoted from patrolman to sergeant, effective June 9. Robert Sealock was also promoted to sergeant, effective June 17. The  men will also receive pay increases with the promotions. Officer Anthony Joseph Quinn served his one year probation ,  as did Officer James Mark Cillo. They are now patrolmen for the city. They will also receive pay increases. Police Chief Don Couch announced  that Kennedy Boulevard at 21st St.  northbound to Brodhead Road will close Wednesday, July 6 for road work.  The  lane will be closed for 3-4 weeks. Council will meet in regular session on Wednesday July 6 at 7 p.m.
