Aliquippa City Council Approves Bodycam Use by City Police

(Aliquippa, Pa.) Aliquippa Police Chief John Lane  asked for and received  approval from Aliquippa City Council for his department’s to use body cameras at Wednesday night’s council meeting.  The policy and procedures had already been approved by Solicitor Myron R. Sainovich. Chief Lane said now the officers can wear the body cameras  when out in the street.
In other business discussed by council Takin it to the Streets outreach Ministry  will  hold an outreach service  for Town Tower and Valley Terrace apartments in the parking lot adjacent to Town Tower  November 13 from 2 to 6 p.m., with a rain date of November 14, 2021.
Debby Grass, Act 47 coordinator for the city  discussed the industrial site grant  of $50,000for the East End where gas station were once located. She said environmental test samples of the soil  will be taken. The PA DEP and DCED approved   the testing.
